About this list
We built this list by taking every everyday object in WordNet whose main meaning fits the theme, then checking it by hand to remove rare senses (for example, "chat" is also the name of a bird, but nobody means that). It works well for drawing challenges, scavenger hunts, story prompts and design exercises.
